Our practice philosophy
We believe in the power of prayer, humor, education and service. Clients are encouraged to develop an understanding of their pet’s illness and the healing process, as well as being an active partner in decision making in the course of treatment. Our role is one of being in service to both our clients and our patients, honoring the relationship between the two, and providing the very best health care we possibly can.
Lauren Lee Warren
Ms. Warren began working with Dr. Yasson in 1996 and was soon motivated to become a homeopath/ naturopath herself. She had a highly successful practice treating people for several years, retiring from practice in 2001 to pursue a career as a professional triathlete. She is actively involved with case management, and also runs our practice as office manager.

What is veterinary homeopathy?
Homeopathy (Latin: homeo=same, pathos=illness) is a system of medical treatment developed 200 years ago in Germany by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann. It is a method of stimulating the body to heal itself and is commonly used all over the world. For example, in England there are several exclusively homeopathic hospitals and in France homeopathic medicines can be found in nearly every pharmacy.
How does Homeopathy work?
FDA-regulated homeopathic drugs are derived mainly from natural sources. If a large dose of the raw materials were given to healthy individuals, their effect would create symptoms similar to that which the corresponding homeopathic drug would help to correct or heal.
How is veterinary homeopathy done?
Homeopathic medications are generally administered orally. Their effects begin instantly and can last a few minutes to many months, depending on the condition being treated and the potency used. Each prescription is specifically matched to the patient’s whole condition. This includes the physical, mental, and emotional state of the patient. The owner’s accurate report of these details make their role a critical one in homeopathic treatment.
Homeopathy in-clinic and by phone?
Although in-clinic appointments are preferred, ours is a far-reaching international practice and we use homeopathic consultation by telephone as a common and reliable technique of case management. It is convenient for the client and eliminates travel stress for the patient. In fact, many of our successful cases have been managed entirely by phone consultation.
What conditions respond to homeopathy?
There are hundreds of conditions that respond to these therapies. The following is a brief list of some examples.

VETERINARY ACUPUNCTURE
We may use acupuncture to augment our care for your pet. Many of our patients fall asleep during the treatments, which last up to 30 minutes, and are repeated 1 to 3 times per week.
TEAM WORK
We believe in combining the best of all worlds and insist on working as a team with your conventional practitioner.
VACCINATIONS
We recommend minimal vaccinations since vaccines 1) generally provide protection that lasts many years, 2) are well known to cause or worsen chronic disease, and 3) may disrupt an ongoing case. The exact recommendations for your pet will depend on the specifics involved, and your options, including yearly titre tests, will be thoroughly discussed in the first appointment.
OPTIMAL NUTRITION
We advocate an easy to prepare, natural diet including fresh meats and vegetables to correct the malnutrition of the average pet’s diet. This often accounts for much of the improvement of our patients. Nutraceuticals such as vitamins and herbs are prescribed as needed.
CURE VERSUS PALLIATION
In conventional medicine (for pets and people) health problems are resolved at the superficial level of symptoms without correcting the cause. We liken this to bailing out a boat without addressing the leaking hole. While this can be helpful, and even life saving, this palliation allows for future problems. Our treatment goal is true cure, which corrects the cause of the symptoms— permanently.
